Ricca Autosport and the Genracer Crew travel to the wine hills of Sonoma California for the opening rounds of TC America. Entered with three of our Hyundai Elantra N1 TC cars, we are excited to start off the season with some great results. Sally McNulty has signed to a full season effort in the #780, while 2023 Vice-Champion Jeff Ricca returns in the #78. Both are veterans to the SRO TC America series and expecting great results this season.
"I am super stoked to the start of this season at Sonoma. I can't wait to drive on the new pavement. I have heard of nothing but good things about the renovations and it's exciting to test it out." explains Jeff. "Our cars have been proven to be reliable, fast, and for sure the top race car to have in TC America." Jeff will start his eleventh year racing with Hyundai in a professional series and for the third year he has partnered up with Liqui Moly USA.
Joining the team for the first round is Ruben Iglesias Jr which made his debut in TC America last year with the VGRT TC car. This young driver is eager to hop into the Hyundai Elantra N1 TC this round and represent Genracer and Hyundai. When asked about the Sonoma round, Ruben stated "I will say that I’m really excited and grateful for this opportunity, and I’ve been putting everything into my training for this race. I don’t doubt we will see a good outcome this coming weekend." We are excited for him to join the team this round and really hope to see him at many more this year.
The season will definitely be a large effort by the Genracer crew! Expected 5 cars to join the field later this year with many International Drivers from Hyundai Korea, as well as as pair of some big name influencers to join the team and share their experiences to their followers. More news to come on this but until then, lets go racing!
