Rigid Washers for your Hyundai Veloster N
17th Dec 2021
Keeping that front subframe solid and sturdy makes for less alignment changes. The Hyundai Veloster N has a four point mounting subframe that supports the mounting of the lower control arms, sway bar and steering rack. The transmission mount is also tied into the middle mounting of the subframe. The rear holes for the subframe are very large for the bolt that is used. Our guess is for speed of mass production. However we noticed over time that the subframe moves during braking, hard cornering and hard shifting. This is apparent when we removed the OEM mounting bolts from the subrame and saw a good amount of scoring, showing that there is movement. This washers are specially designed to fit in the subframe and minimize that gap for movement. After a season of testing on our very own race cars (even on one with a brand new subframe), we saw no signs of movement when inspected. If the subframe was to move, there would be a change in front alignment due to the design of the McPherson suspension. This very simple and inexpensive modification will go along way!
